Local Pumpkin

Have you heard of Local Pumpkin?

It may just be the BEST THING EVER.

Local Pumpkin delivers farm-fresh produce to your home or office weekly, monthly, or as often as you choose. They have a bunch of different options to choose from, including a custom box where you can choose all of your favorite foods!

Local Pumpkin only buys from farms that are Certified Organic and/or those that use clean farming practices.

All of the produce is from small, family farms located in the Columbia Basin and Yakima Valley whenever possible, so you know you’re supporting local farmers when you sign up with Local Pumpkin. It goes without saying, but you’re also supporting your own good health, and that of your family or coworkers!

I know it sounds almost too good to be true, so check out Local Pumpkin’s FAQ if you have any questions. You should also read their blog for some great recipes you can make with Local Pumpkin’s beautiful produce!

Just who is Local Pumpkin, anyway?

From their About page:

We are the Franklin family. John and Cathy grew up in the Tri-Cities and have raised their five children here. We live on two acres in Pasco and use our converted barn as Local Pumpkin Produce Box headquarters. Four of our children work alongside us at Local Pumpkin. We believe in small business and supporting our local businesses and economy. We are passionate about eating local and healthy. We believe food is more than fuel to our bodies. We believe what we eat has the ability to heal or harm us. We want the freshest, most nutritious food we can find. We appreciate living in a part of the country that is agriculturally rich with a long growing season and terrific farms. Local Pumpkin Produce Box started as an idea to support small family farms, our local economy, and to preserve our desire to eat fresh.
